![]() The result is terrible FPS, combined with constant stuttering and an annoying load icon coming up whenever new textures are introduced. The XBox 360 for example I believe only contains 512 MB of RAM. :-(Įdit: I also forgot to add that the console ports are choppy as ♥♥♥♥ due to the severe RAM limitations. So much sadness all around with this franchise. It was only available in Europe and on this broken Steam version. The expansion comes with two additional regions, plus the Dragon Mage playable character. However you should know that the expansion was never released for consoles - only the PC version. The Steam controller just isn't an improvement for this game in my opinion, and the console port is superior in this regard (plus the fact that it doesn't crash). Additionally, you still have to hover the cursor over anything you want to target. This affect is only duplicated by the Steam controller. You press forward once, and your character takes five steps forward. Bugs aside, on PC, even the WSAD controls are completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. You're better off getting the console version for Sacred 2. I have high hopes for the "actual" Sacred 3 which is supposedly in development, but I'm not going to hold my breath for it. These games were simply not made for modern systems, and really ought to come with a darn warning to that effect. Sacred 1 suffers from some kind of framerate "rubber band" effect, as though you were playing an online game and were lagging. Trying to fix it with "4GB Patch" doesn't work either, as it creates a checksum fail with Steam - making it so you can't run it at all. There's a community patch, but it doesn't solve this problem. Sacred 2 has some kind of memory limit, where it WILL crash without fail after around 45 minutes to an hour of gameplay (plus or minus depending on your settings and activity). I just can't recommend either of them, despite how great they are from a gameplay standpoint. They're both absolutely horrid on Windows 10.
